green beans

last week the broccoli looked perfect. apparently, I didn't water them enough because they bolted on me :-(

Here is what we brought home Friday. We made a grilled chicken salad and green beans. Iris was so excited that everything was from the garden and we grew it. Then all of a sudden she says, "mom, we didn't grow the chicken, did we?"

lemolade, get your fresh lemolade here

The girls had their first annual lemonade stand during our community garage sale. Between skimping customers on the product and over charging our neighbors (25 dollars, not 25 cents) my girls are gonna be good businesswomen.

This was their very first customer. She told Iris to just give her a little bit. She received about and inch in the bottom of her cup :-)

lazy summer day at the seattle center

Well today we decided that we would use our membership to the Seattle Children's Museum for the first time this summer. Thanks to SavvySource we got a year membership for a fraction of the cost! I think I paid $40.00 for an $85.00 membership fee :-)
